It’s hotting up and that means a refreshing cone or bowl of ice cream is almost constantly on a child’s mind. We’ve been busy researching the cheapest, most fun and of course yummiest ways to make ice cream with children. Check them out below and if you have any ideas the n please add them to the comments!
Felicity’s perfect ice cream is one of the best recipes and methods we have found for making a traditionally satisfying vanilla number with minimal apparatus. The result is brilliantly homemade and instructions are easy to follow, however it will take a little while to make due to a 4 hour stint in the freezer. Definitely worth it though!
This neat little ice cream cup is rather quite brilliant. You add your ingredients to the ice cream maker, squeeze it constantly for a couple of minutes and voilà, ice cream! We have reviewed it on The RB, our children’s magazine, and as long as you carefully follow the instructions (it’s essential to keep it in the freezer overnight before use) you will have an ice cream treat within no time at all. They are also pretty good vale at £11.99, maybe the kids could save for it on Roosterbank?
This interesting plate-like ice cream making solution takes a similar approach to the Squeezy Ice Cream Maker: you leave it in the freeze overnight, pour your ingredients onto the ‘magic slab’ and within a few minutes you have something which resembles ice cream. Lots of fun to make, but it is a little expensive for our liking at £39.99.
If you know of any other ways to make ice cream, share them in the comments and we will add them to the post.
